Softball Game Preview: Lancaster Legends vs. Corning-Painted Post Hawks

The Lancaster Legends will take on the Corning-Painted Post Hawks at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lancaster is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Rome Free Academy as they made off with a 20-2 win. The victory was nothing new for the Legends as they're now sitting on five straight.

Lancaster got a massive performance out of Emma Andolina, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. Those three hits gave Andolina a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennah DeWald, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Lancaster was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .567. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Corning-Painted Post got themselves on the board against Middletown on Thursday, but Middletown never followed suit. They blew past the Middie Bears 6-0. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Lancaster's record now sits at 15-5. As for Corning-Painted Post, their record is now 17-3.
