The Whitehall Zephyrs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 76-47 win over East Stroudsburg North. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-24.
Despite the defeat, East Stroudsburg North had strong showings from Nate Wilder, who scored 16 points, and Wayne King, who scored ten points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points King has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryceson Dobie, who scored ten points.
Whitehall's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3. As for East Stroudsburg North, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitehall will challenge Nazareth Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nazareth Area will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Whitehall is ranked 47th). As for East Stroudsburg North, they will head out on the road to square off against Mt. St. Michael Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
