Skyview has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will venture away from home to  face off against the Overland Trailblazers  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Skyview's hitters might be in the hot seat  on Saturday considering what happened against Resurrection Christian  on Thursday. They lost  16-0 to the Cougars. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.
 Meanwhile, Overland didn't have quite enough to beat Adams City last Thursday and fell  12-10. The Trailblazers have now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Michaela Halton was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she  struck out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and eight unearned) runs off   ten  hits. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.3  strikeouts per game. She was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run, four  RBI, and two  runs. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  strikeouts.
 In other batting news,  Anaiah Patterson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kourtnie Batcho, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, a  triple, and  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Overland  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with nine  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 Skyview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Overland, they now  have a losing record at 3-4.
 Everything went Skyview's way against Overland in their previous matchup  back in September of 2021 as Skyview made off with  a  13-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Skyview since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
