John Milledge Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Piedmont Academy, posting a 56-0 win. Considering the Trojans have won seven matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

John Milledge Academy found their leader in sophomore Javaris Hurt, who rushed for 156 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. Those 156 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Hurt. Another player making a difference was Asa Wall, who gained 70 total yards and two touchdowns.
John Milledge Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 313 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.
John Milledge Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Lane Rhodes. John Milledge Academy got some further help from Amarion Shivers: he picked up three sacks and made three total tackles.
Frederica Academy hadn't beaten Valwood on the road since September 11, 2020 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. Frederica Academy walked away with a 28-21 victory over Valwood.
John Milledge Academy better keep an eye on Stanton Beverly. He was instrumental in Frederica Academy's win, rushing for 173 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 109 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards Beverly has posted since back in November of 2024.
John Milledge Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Frederica Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. John Milledge Academy has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 191.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Frederica Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 183 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
