Everything went their way against the Southwood Cowboys on Friday as the Converse Wildcats made off with a 17-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now won five in a row.
Branton Snelling was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-low in hits. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Riley Norman was a standout: he scored two runs while going 1-for-2. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
