Lake Marion fell 42-31 to the Landsharks. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lake Marion in their matchups with the Landsharks: they've now lost four in a row.
Lake Marion's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jimyria Green, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Danasia Wright was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Lake Marion has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Marion will take on the Raptors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Academic Magnet is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Battling Bishops at 6:30 p.m. Bishop England is coming into the match hot, having won their last 19 games.
