The Navarre Raiders lost against the Pensacola Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Navarre fell 52-42 to the Tigers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Navarre has scored all season.
Pensacola got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braylen Steele out in front who scored 16 points along with six steals. Steele is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jatony Jefferson, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Navarre has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Pensacola, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Navarre will square off against the Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gulf Breeze is on a five-game streak of home losses, the Raiders a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Pensacola, they will head out on the road to challenge the Chiefs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northview aren't just struggling at home either: they haven't won a game anywhere since January 12th.
