The McAlester Buffaloes pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Will Rogers College. McAlester was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Will Rogers College apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.
Will Rogers College's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dkarrion Titsworth led the charge by scoring 16 points. Titsworth has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Branden Crosslen, who scored 14 points along with four blocks and three steals.
McAlester has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Will Rogers College, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.
McAlester will take on Bishop Kelley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Kelley will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Will Rogers College will take on Coweta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Coweta will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
