The Forest Park Foresters put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 80-5 victory over Mergenthaler Vo-Tech on the road. The result was nothing new for Forest Park, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Aliyah Carroll continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points. Another player making a difference was NaJae Malik-El, who scored 13 points.
Forest Park's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 49.1 points. As for Mergenthaler Vo-Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Park will face off against Poly at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Poly focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Thursday. Mergenthaler Vo-Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lewis at 5:45 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
