Even though the Iroquois Braves have not done well against the Seneca Bobcats recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Iroquois came out on top against Seneca by a score of 55-45. The win made it back-to-back wins for Iroquois.
Iroquois found their leader in underclassman Kellen Burroughs, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Orlando Brown, who scored 16 points.
Iroquois has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Seneca, they bumped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iroquois will take on North East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North East will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Seneca, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. Northwestern is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
