Oxbridge Academy's Travis Homer recorded the longest rushing play in Gulf Atlantic - Atlantic this season in his game against Gateway Charter last week. Homer ran for 75 yards on the play and finished with 173 on the day as his team defeated the Griffins.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Oxbridge Academy beat Gateway Charter 60-26. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Palmer Trinity's dynamic duo of Dylan DiBello and Joseph Chao proved tough for Canterbury to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. DiBello threw for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns and Chao had 99 yards receiving. Pablo Pedroso helped Palmer Trinity's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 15 yards.
Steven Demeo was a passing and rushing force as the ThunderWolves defeated Johnny Brown's team. He completed 6 passes for 78 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 119 yards. Demeo's favorite target this week was Derek McDonald, who caught 2 passes for 36 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Berean Christian's Chris Mauck and Austin Skelton have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Mauck has thrown for 1,555 yards this season, while Skelton has 39 catches for 548 yards. Homer from Oxbridge Academy leads the league in rushing with 570 yards.
Scheck Hillel Community School lost to Community School of Naples 52-18 last week, the largest margin of any game.
