After losing to West Point-Beemer the last time they met, Fort Calhoun decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pioneers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cadets on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Pioneers as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

Emilee Thayer-Mencke paced Fort Calhoun's offense, picking up eight kills. Thayer-Mencke got some help from Sophie Weeks and her 22 assists. Ari Nelson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Fort Calhoun's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for West Point-Beemer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
