Johansen is 2-7 against Davis since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Johansen Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Davis Spartans at 7:15 p.m.
Last Friday, Johansen came up short against Lathrop and fell 31-22. Johansen has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Johansen got a solid performance out of Tek Garcia, who rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Garcia's longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards.
Meanwhile, Davis got the win against Beyer on Friday by a conclusive 28-7.
Davis' victory bumped their season record to 2-6 while Johansen's loss dropped theirs to 5-3.
Johansen came up short against Davis in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 23-18. Can Johansen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
