Freeman is a perfect 10-0 against Medical Lake since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Freeman Scotties will square off against the Medical Lake Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

While Medical Lake didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Kettle Falls 19-8 on Tuesday. The Cardinals' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Like Freeman, Medical Lake also got a great game from a two-way player: Isabel Barry. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Barry was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Gabby Ornelas was incredible, firing off three home runs, nine RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3.2 RBI per game. Layla Armes also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.
Freeman's record is now 2-0. As for Medical Lake, their record is now 4-0.
Freeman was able to grind out a solid win over Medical Lake in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Freeman since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
