In what's become a running theme this season, St. Charles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat La Plata 67-14 on the road. St. Charles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
McKenzie Thomas continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of St. Charles' points. Another player making a difference was London Horne, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
The win (which was St. Charles' third in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for La Plata, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
St. Charles will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Great Mills at 6:30 p.m. As for La Plata, they will head out on the road to take on Leonardtown at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Leonardtown's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while La Plata has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
