Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Inika Balakrishnan and Tais Silva Lead Campbell to Victory

Campbell won the last time they faced Pebblebrook and things went their way on Saturday too. The Spartans came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Campbell took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-13.

Campbell was led to victory by Tais Silva and Inika Balakrishnan. Silva had nine digs and two aces, while Balakrishnan had three digs. That's the most digs Balakrishnan has posted since back in August. Lillian Grigsby also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Campbell was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are a perfect 10-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Campbell has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-13 record this season. As for Pebblebrook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-17.

Coming up, Campbell is taking a road trip to face off against Marietta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pebblebrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
