Millsap hasn't had much luck against Early recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Millsap took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Eastland.

Brandon Savage was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Millsap is 2-1 when Savage allows one or fewer hits, but 7-10 otherwise. Savage was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reid Green, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was CR Tippie, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Millsap was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Early). They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over Dublin on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Longhorns.
Chris Ivy looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Early let Jack Nowell and Jaxson Stockman run wild. Nowell scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances, while Stockman went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those runs marked the first that Nowell scored this season. Brayden Moya was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
Millsap's record now sits at 9-11. As for Early, their record is now 6-13.
Millsap came up short against Early in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 5-2. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
