Millersburg will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Pine Grove at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Millersburg had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 27-48 punch to the gut against Nativity BVM last Friday. Millersburg were down by 20-42 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Pine Grove took care of business in their home opener. They were fully in charge last week, breezing past Northern Lebanon 50-14. Pine Grove was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the rankings had forecast.
Pine Grove's win lifted them to 1-0 while Millersburg's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Pine Grove can add another positive mark to their record or if Millersburg can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Pine Grove's step.
