Basic is 5-0 against Del Sol since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Basic Wolves will be playing at home against the Del Sol Dragons at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Basic's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
Basic pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-57 to Faith Lutheran. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Basic in their matchups with Faith Lutheran: they've now lost three in a row.
Loss or not, Basic got some senior leadership from Christian Baltierrez and Alvonte' Nelson. Baltierrez scored 19 points, while Nelson. scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Del Sol pushed their score all the way to 61 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 72-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shadow Ridge.
Basic's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Del Sol, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-9.
Basic didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Del Sol in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 65-59 victory. Does Basic have another victory up their sleeve, or will Del Sol turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
