The Ganado Indians suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Bloomington by a score of 32-29. That's two games in a row now that Ganado has lost by exactly three points.
Despite the loss, Ganado still got an impressive performance from Zoey Ybarra, who scored 18 points along with seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ybarra has scored all season.
Bloomington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Khyli Proctor out in front who scored four points along with ten rebounds and nine steals. Proctor hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Kenzi Proctor was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Ganado has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Bloomington, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-7.
Ganado will be playing in front of their home fans against Shiner at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Shiner is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 15 games. As for Bloomington, they will head out on the road to take on Weimar at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
