Volleyball Recap: Princeton Starts Season with Victory Against Hunt

Princeton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the Hunt Warriors 3-2 on Tuesday. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2022.

Princeton took Hunt into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-16, 26-24, 20-25, 16-14.

Princeton had a senior duo take command as Addison Taylor had four digs, two aces, and one block and Alaina Boggs had seven aces and one assist. Taylor has been hot for a while, having also posted 20 or more assists the last 12 times she's played.

Princeton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Hunt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Princeton will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Southern Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hunt, they will challenge Bunn at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
