The Arthur County Wolves will take on the Hay Springs Hawks at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hay Springs will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Arthur County extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Wolves blew past Crawford, posting a 65-35 victory.

Jaycen Hanna was his usual excellent self, rushing for 173 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 173 rushing yards. Colton Pilakowski was another key player, picking up 48 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Arthur County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 205 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Hay Springs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 64-21 win over Minatare. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won six in a row.
Hay Springs' win came from a few key players Arthur County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaydub Turman, who rushed for 93 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 48 yards and one touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Another player making a difference was Tripp Buettner, who gained 117 total yards and three touchdowns.
Hay Springs' win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Arthur County, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Arthur County has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 181.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Hay Springs struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 254.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Arthur County took a serious blow against Hay Springs in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 60-14. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wolves were down 44-14.
