Volleyball Recap: West Franklin's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

West Franklin won the last time they faced Council Grove and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Falcons came out on top against the Braves by a score of 2-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

West Franklin easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14.

Zoe Dowd paced West Franklin's offense, picking up six kills. Dowd got some help from Greelie McMahan and her ten assists. McMahan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

West Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Council Grove, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Franklin beat the Braves by a score of 2-0 later that day.
