On Monday, McDonald County earned a 56-43 victory over Shiloh Christian. Given McDonald County's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 33rd in Missouri, while Shiloh Christian is ranked 120th in Arkansas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
McDonald County was led to victory by Dakota O'brien and Carlie Martin. O'brien dropped a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds, while Martin almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists. The game was Martin's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Roslynn Huston, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for McDonald County and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Shiloh Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
McDonald County will head out on the road to face off against Webb City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shiloh Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Berryville at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
