Basketball Recap: Ivan Guardado and Kassidy Mosely Secure Win for Agua Fria

Agua Fria hadn't done well against Cactus recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Agua Fria Owls snuck past the Cactus Cobras with a 52-48 victory. This was payback for the Owls, who suffered a 72-52 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Leading Agua Fria to victory were Kassidy Mosely and Ivan Guardado. Mosely posted seven points and three steals, while Guardado earned ten points and three steals. Those three steals gave Mosely a new career-high. Another player making a difference was David Tejada, who put up 11 points.

Several Cobras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Xavier Ledet, who had 19 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aden Thiesse, who posted six points and 18 rebounds.

Agua Fria has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Cactus, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
