The Frontier Cougars pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 64-57 to Trinity Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (55), Frontier still had to take the loss.
Frontier's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Haught, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Haught has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Dye, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Frontier's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Trinity Christian, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.
Frontier will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Toronto at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. As for Trinity Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-34 victory vs. East Hardy on the 10th.
