Trinity Catholic took down P.K. Yonge 61-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Johnnie Taylor ran for 141 yards in the win.
Father Lopez made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,954 from 8,166. The improvement was largely due to a 24-17 victory over Maclay last week.
Joe Boden was a passing and rushing force as the Green Wave bested the Marauders. He completed 6 passes for 140 yards and also ran for 124 yards. Boden's key target this week was Ryan Mowen, who caught 2 passes for 97 yards.
Justin Bryant was a force in the backfield as Father Lopez topped Maclay.
Roman Mack was a key player and the best on defense this week as Jason Dunlap's team beat Kyler Hall's team. He forced 1 fumble and racked up 1 sack.
Bryant was the best running back in 3A District 2 this week. In 29 carries, he ran for 258 yards as the Green Wave bested the Marauders. Boden also contributed to the rushing game with 124 yards on the ground.
6-foot-3 quarterback Reid Carlton of the Celtics is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,120. He has also thrown 9 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Mowen. The Father Lopez star has 19 catches for 345 yards.
