The Crane Cranes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Alpine for the full four quarters, racking up a 81-53 victory on the road. The win was familiar territory for Crane who now have eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Alpine still got an impressive performance from Novah Carrasco, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. That was a full 39.6% of Alpine's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Collete Fowlkes was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Crane pushed their record up to 22-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Alpine, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-15.
Crane will take on Presidio at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Presidio will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1314th, while Crane is ranked 618th). As for Alpine, they will head out on the road to face off against Stanton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
