The Glacier Peak Grizzlies will challenge the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glacier Peak will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Glacier Peak had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Arlington on Wednesday. The Grizzlies put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 12-2 victory. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Sammie Christensen was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Briannica Titus, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Glacier Peak always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arlington only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Archbishop Murphy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They came up short against Edmonds-Woodway, falling 9-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since April 22, 2024.
Archbishop Murphy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carly Madhavan, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Glacier Peak's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Archbishop Murphy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Glacier Peak's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. The Grizzlies have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Archbishop Murphy, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Glacier Peak continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Glacier Peak's way against Archbishop Murphy when the teams last played back in April of 2021, as Glacier Peak made off with a 10-0 win. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
