Rice Lake has been away from home for seven games now, but  on Tuesday they'll finally make their return. They will host the Ellsworth Panthers  at 7:15  p.m. Rice Lake will be strutting in after a  win while Ellsworth will be coming in after a  loss.
 Rice Lake is headed into the  matchup having just  posted their biggest  victory since September 5th on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Northwestern with a sharp  3-0 win.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-19,  25-16.
 Rice Lake can attribute much of their success to  Sedona Gay, who  had ten  digs and three  aces. That high mark didn't come from nowhere:  Gay now  served two or more in the last four games she's  played.
 Meanwhile, Ellsworth came up short against Baldwin-Woodville on Thursday and fell  3-1. The Panthers have struggled against the Blackhawks recently, as their game  on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
 Ellsworth took a 1-1 lead headed into the third set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-16, 11-25, 25-17,  25-23.
 Rice Lake is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record  this season. As for Ellsworth, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
 Rice Lake was able to grind out a solid  victory over Ellsworth in their previous meeting  back in August of 2023, winning  3-1. Will Rice Lake repeat their success,  or does  Ellsworth have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
