The Del Norte Tigers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were beaten by Salida 67-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Del Norte has scored all season.
Del Norte's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kelby Mondragon, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Kaesyn Eagles who scored six points.
This is the second loss in a row for Del Norte and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Salida, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Del Norte won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Park at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Salida, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Mary's at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary's is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
