Weston Ranch has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Linden Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Weston Ranch knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten contests -- so hopefully Linden likes a good challenge.
In what's become a running theme this season, Weston Ranch gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They breezed by Franklin at home to the tune of 113-21. 113 seems to be a good number for Weston Ranch as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
It was another big night for Mateen Rafiq, who scored 37 points along with nine assists and eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Darrion Lilly was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Linden had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Franklin 55-38 on Friday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Linden has managed all season.
Weston Ranch pushed their record up to 15-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 88.8 points per game. As for Linden, their victory ended a 16-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12.
Everything came up roses for Weston Ranch against Linden when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 93-23 win. With Weston Ranch ahead 62-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.
