Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Wausa's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Wausa won the last time they faced Tri County Northeast, and Taylor Dawson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Wausa Vikings took down the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack 45-30 on Thursday thanks in part to Dawson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Tri County Northeast's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Briley Anderson, who posted eight points and six rebounds. Maddie Franzluebbers also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Wausa has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Tri County Northeast, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Wausa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 44-32 victory against Winside on the 24th. Tri County Northeast has also already played their next contest (against Wakefield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
