Baseball Recap: Providence Hall Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Providence Hall hadn't done well against American Leadership Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Patriots came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 16-11. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Eagles on Tuesday, they had to take a 7-4 loss.

Dom Herrera was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Pierce Taylor, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

With the victory, Providence Hall broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-6. As for American Leadership Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

American Leadership Academy will challenge Summit Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Hall will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' game: after the Eagles face off against the Bears, they'll take on Providence Hall again at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
