For Round Mountain, this counts as revenge for the 41-11 loss Pahranagat Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Round Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Laycii Thibodeaux led the charge by scoring 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for Thibodeaux. Ava Faga was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.
Round Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Pahranagat Valley, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-5-1 record last season and are now at 1-4.
Round Mountain is on the road again on Saturday and play against Virginia City at 3:00 p.m. on December 9th. Virginia City is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Pahranagat Valley, they will be playing at home against Wells at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Wells is ranked 52nd, while Pahranagat Valley is ranked 74th).
