Hagerstown hasn't had much luck against Shenandoah recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tigers will challenge the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hagerstown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Northeastern 10-3. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Rylan Young made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Young was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Hagerstown got a massive performance out of Elly Cheesman, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave Cheesman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Jarrett, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Shenandoah came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Patriots.
Lydia Schwagmeier was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Reese Sprunger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Shenandoah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .531 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Shenandoah's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Hagerstown, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hagerstown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .407. However, it's not like Shenandoah struggles in that department as they've averaged .369. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
