The Greenbrier Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Jo Byrns Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Greenbrier's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Last Friday, Greenbrier made easy work of Harpeth and carried off a 65-39 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-16.
Nolan Carson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 17 rebounds. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nate Castleman, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Jo Byrns ended up a good deal behind Todd County Central on Tuesday and lost 68-50. Jo Byrns has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Greenbrier has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Jo Byrns, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Greenbrier came up short against Jo Byrns when the teams last played back in November, falling 56-50. Can Greenbrier avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
