The Lowell Red Devils won the last time they faced the Wheeler Bearcats, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Lowell blew past Wheeler 56-33. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-17.
Lowell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Viehman out in front who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Viehman has scored at least 25% of Lowell's points. Another player making a difference was Ezra Elenbaum, who scored 11 points.
Wheeler's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Marek Barton, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Rife, who scored 9 points.
The win got Lowell back to even at 1-1. As for Wheeler, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Lowell will head out on the road to face off against Hebron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheeler, they will be playing at home against River Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
