In what's become a running theme this season, the Antelope Rams gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat San Pasqual Valley 71-39 on the road. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Antelope considering their one-point performance the contest before.
Antelope's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb Martinez, who scored 19 points along with seven assists and two steals. Martinez hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Kenan Ragels was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six assists and three steals.
San Pasqual Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Isaiah Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Santiago Lopez who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Martinez has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last 13 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Devin Golding, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Antelope is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for San Pasqual Valley, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.
Antelope will head out on the road to square off against the Roadrunners at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Phoenix Day School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday. As for San Pasqual Valley, they will be playing at home against the Yote on Friday. Desert Heights Prep is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
