The Horseshoe Bend Mustangs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They breezed by Wilder at home to the tune of 64-17. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-8.
Horseshoe Bend's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Layth Bromgard, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. The contest was Bromgard's third in a row with at least ten points. Nic Cooper was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds.
Horseshoe Bend's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Wilder, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Garden Valley the next time they take the court. Horseshoe Bend will head out to face Garden Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Wilder will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th.
