Solomon extended the longest winning streak in Wheat State (8 Man) this week by beating Little River, 52-6. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Hope was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. The Lions beat Burrton 50-0 earlier in the week.
Jayden Miller made the biggest impact on defense this week as Peabody-Burns fell to Flinthills. The 6-foot-3 defensive end recorded one fumble and grabbed 1.5 sacks.
Sam Morgan provided a threat through the air and on the ground as White City topped Tescott. He completed seven passes for 109 yards and also ran for 168 yards. Morgan's favorite target this week was Brent Comp, who caught three passes for 83 yards.
Keenan Westerman put up the best numbers through the air as Wakefield beat Pike Valley. He finished with a total of nine completions for 151 yards and one touchdown. Westerman's favorite target this week was Brandon Taylor, who caught two passes for 68 yards.
6-foot-0 quarterback Trey Schmidt of Goessel is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1232. He has also thrown 29 touchdowns. On the ground, Solomon's Colton Shirack has rushed for 833 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tommy Morris. The Peabody-Burns star has 21 catches for 432 yards.
A big matchup in Wheat State (8 Man) this week will be when the Bluebirds take on the Huskies. Goessel is currently in fifth, while White City is in eighth.
Hope took down the Chargers 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
