With a playoff game on the line, the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles rose to the challenge on Saturday. They put the hurt on Richland with a sharp 56-35 win. Graham-Kapowsin's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Daveon Superales went supernova for Graham-Kapowsin, throwing for 430 yards and six touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Superales has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Durant, who picked up 198 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Brody Bocek and Joshua Woodard certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Bocek picked up 185 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Woodard threw for 483 yards and four touchdowns. Bocek was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 67 yards. Rayce Reeves was another key contributor, picking up 119 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Graham-Kapowsin has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.7 points. As for Richland, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Graham-Kapowsin has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Gonzaga Prep at 3:00 p.m. on November 18th. Gonzaga Prep is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games. Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
