After flying high against the Spirit of Life Christian Academy Eagles last Thursday, the Southside Christian Warriors came back down to earth. Southside Christian took a serious blow against Neuse Charter on Friday, falling 52-20. Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, Southside Christian couldn't push the score so high this time.
They used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Annie Winterstein,
Caroline Roberts, and
Anna Coley posted five points each.
Chloe Kozloff continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Neuse Charter, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 steals. Kozloff has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Layla Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and nine steals.
Southside Christian bumped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Neuse Charter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.
Southside Christian will head out on the road to face off against Living Water Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Living Water Christian is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Neuse Charter, they will stay at home for another game and welcome North Duplin at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. North Duplin is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
