The Juanita Ravens waltzed into their game Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They rang in the new year with a 42-30 win over Hazen. That's two games straight that Juanita has won by exactly 12 points.
Dakota Nap and Mia McCarthy certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Nap scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while McCarthy scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The game was Nap's eighth in a row with at least ten points.
The win got Juanita back to even at 5-5. As for Hazen, they bumped their record down to 4-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Juanita will take on Bellevue at 5:40 p.m. on Friday. Bellevue and Juanita are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Hazen, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Interlake at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully Interlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Wednesday.
