Bennett had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Salisbury Christian. The result was nothing new for the Clippers, who have now won ten contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Bennett pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Salisbury Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
