After losing to Christ the King the last time they met, Lincoln Charter decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
The victory didn't come easy: Christ the King scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 20-25, 25-22, 25-18.
Thomas D'Amato paced Lincoln Charter's offense, picking up 22 kills. D'Amato got some help from Dylan Lemmers and his 38 assists. Connor Joyce controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Lincoln Charter's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Christ the King, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-6.
