The Loachapoka Indians had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They strolled past Billingsley with points to spare, taking the game 49-34. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Loachapoka also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyle Boice, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Loachapoka's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Billingsley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loachapoka won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Maplesville at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Maplesville is ranked 401st, while Loachapoka is ranked 408th). As for Billingsley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alabama Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
