The Tesoro Titans lost against the Trabuco Hills Mustangs two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Tesoro lost to the Mustangs at home by a decisive 55-40 margin. While losing is never fun, Tesoro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Mustangs are ranked 81st).
Trabuco Hills had a senior duo take command as Matt Mowers dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds and Jack Warnick scored 16 points. Mowers hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Arshia Amini, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Tesoro dropped their record down to 10-17 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Trabuco Hills, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing San Juan Hills the next time they take the court. Trabuco Hills will host San Juan Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Tesoro will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
