Faith Academy has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Holy Trinity Catholic Celtics at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Faith Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 519 points over their last eight contests.
Even though Live Oak Classical scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, Faith Academy still came out on top. Faith Academy secured a 61-56 W over Live Oak Classical.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Holy Trinity Catholic, who are still winless after their 12th match. They were beaten by Brazos Christian 84-25 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Holy Trinity Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1653rd, while Brazos Christian is ranked 699th).
Faith Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.9 points per game. As for Holy Trinity Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
Faith Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Holy Trinity Catholic in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, winning 66-58. Does Faith Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Holy Trinity Catholic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
