The El Dorado Cougars will square off against the Argonaut Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Argonaut took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on El Dorado, who comes in off a win.
El Dorado is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since September 15th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Union Mine 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day El Dorado got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 20-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-13.

Argonaut was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Amador work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-23, 23-25, 26-24, 25-12.
Argonaut's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for El Dorado, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: El Dorado has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Argonaut struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
